Well, that’s about to end. We’re back, and we’re ready to get disruptive. In fact, much like balloon boy, we never went away. We’ve just been so busy lately working on so many exciting projects that, um, we kind of let the blog slip there for a minute…
First of all, we’re excited to announce we’ve officially partnered with RockDex, an amazing online tool we’ve already given you a sneak peek into. In a nutshell, RockDex gives bands and solo artists an easy and efficient way of monitoring and analyzing their presence on all the major social media platforms, from Twitter to Last.fm. Next week, our very own Shannon will join RockDex creator Jimmy Winter in New York for CMJ and to participate in a panel discussion hosted by the National Association of Recording Merchandisers (NARM) titled “What Gets Measured Gets Managed: Experts Discuss Metrics and Measurement of Music 2.0.” Believe it or not, Jimmy and Shannon are indeed two of those “experts.” Fancy, huh? The panel’s Thursday, October 22, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Soho House. Drop by and hit ‘em up for a Tom Collins.
In other updates, Locker Partner’s relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs continues to thrive. Since helping our hometown NFL team relaunch its Web site in August, we’ve watched with pride as fans have flocked to kcchiefs.com to interact with each other, post photos and videos, chat with expert bloggers and get a fantastically close-up view of the team from the locker room to the huddle. And, *cough*, we’d by lying if we said we weren’t still a just a tad bit proud of how well that Office parody took off.
We’ll be posting lots more updates right here in the days to come, not just about what’s going on at Locker Partner but in the wider world of social media as well.
