Hello and welcome to 2010! While the rest of humanity sleeps off its collective, decadal hangover, the rest of us who are up and moving around can contemplate the most pressing question of NOW: How do we pronounce 2010? Is it “two thousand ten,” “two thousand and ten,” “two oh ten” or “twenty ten”?

The founders of the appropriately named website TwentyNot2000.com claim they have the answer. It’s twenty ten. Their justification: It’s faster. Also, we say years like “1810″ and “1999″ without using the word “thousand,” so that’s what we should do with 2010.

These passionate pronouncers have even started a social media campaign, encouraging people to fight for the cause across Twitter, Digg and Facebook, where their fan page has attracted nearly two hundred and fifty hundred — that is, twenty-five thousand — members.

Call it what you want, just remember to have a good year.
